Medline Industries to create new Medical Sales Jobs

Medline Industries has leased a 180,000 square-foot facility near the Indianapolis International Airport in order to establish a new distribution centre.

The company has initiated distribution operations at the new facility and this is expected to result in new medical sales job. In all, Medline has hired 50 local residents to fill the positions needed to serve its customers in the region.

Headquartered in Mundelein, Illinois, Medline has more than 6,800 employees in North America, including an 800 person dedicated sales force.

Medline operates 10 manufacturing facilities and 35 distribution centres. The company has 20 product divisions, and manufactures and/or distributes more than 100,000 products to hospitals, extended care facilities, surgery centers, home care dealers, dialysis centers, home health agencies and retail and other healthcare markets.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Medline Industries Inc. up to $210,000 in performance-based tax credits and $6,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. The town of Plainfield will provide additional property tax abatement at the request of the Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership.
